NYS Small Business Development Center to Present Second “Speed Lending” Event Rochester, NY -- The College at Brockport Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is pleased to announce that, in cooperation with the Finger Lakes Community College, it will be hosting another "Speed Lending" event at the end of April. "Where small business lending meets speed dating," small businesses in the Rochester and surrounding areas will have the opportunity to network with business bankers from a variety of different area lending institutions in a speed- dating-like environment.

When this event was held last December, participants were able to meet with 10 lending institutions in two hours, a feat difficult to accomplish outside of this event. Participating in this event would provide small businesses a better opportunity to obtain funding, and registration is open to both start-up and existing businesses.

There will be two different sessions to choose to attend on April 25th, 2012. They will be from 9am-11am, and from 12pm-2pm. The event will be held at the Finger Lakes Community College Victor Campus Center, 200 Victor Heights Parkway in Victor, NY. Registration for this free event is required.

For more information or to register, please call the Brockport SBDC at 585- 395-8410 or visit http://conta.cc/speedlending.

Since 1987, the expert advisors of the Rochester-area SBDC have worked directly with 17,149 businesses, helping them to invest $148,036,739 in the area's economy, who have created or saved 6,044 jobs. If you or your business reside in Monroe or the surrounding counties, the SBDC can maneuver you around the obstacles to success. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 585-395-8410 or visit http://brockport.nyssbdc.org. The program is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. Services are extended to the public on a nondiscriminatory basis.
