Unity Coalition, community organizations and religious groups which recently developed and established the first ever, Latino/Hispanic LGBT, religious institution & community sevice group, developed to create a more harmonious, respectful and productive relationship between these groups for the betterment of the community and to offer a voice & leadership to South Florida’s immigrants and their rights to justice and legal rights within the U.S.

“Most U.S. Americans are immigrants, exiles or simply came to this country for a better life. We did not come here to break laws, live in hiding, take anyone elses opportunities or not carry our weight in the US. We simply want to live in peace, freedom and the same opportunities as everyone else. As LGBT Latino/Hispanics, these truths are even more pressing to us” said Herb Sosa, Unity Coalition President ”UC’s establishment of an ongoing dialogue and coalition with our multi faith institutions and community organizations will help our LGBT Latino/Hispanic brothers & sisters to once again feel welcome in their communities, and will help develop a better understanding and respect bewtween the religious entities and the LGBT community, and establish a unified voice for South Florida’s immigrants and their rights. added Sosa.
