Extra Light Strings, Spotlights, Lit Candles, and Living Materials Are Prohibited

Each year, talented designers donate their time and talents to create beautiful works of art in the form of trees, wreaths and other items. These elaborate and ornate designs create the magical atmosphere that The Baby Fold’s Festival of Trees is known for. You will become part of a magical community event by donating a designer item to the Festival of Trees. Your item will be displayed for three days and viewed by thousands of event-goers from Central Illinois. You can be proud to be an important part of this exciting annual event!

General  The Festival of Trees Designer Committee and The Baby Fold will be the sole judges of appropriateness; only good quality, well-crafted items will be accepted.  Use your imagination to add value to your items, however, use items related to your items’ theme for consistency and to increase the value of your item.  Extra light strings, spotlights, lit candles, and living materials are prohibited  Items/decorations/ornaments with a date (year) printed on them are prohibited unless they are collectible or highly valued and proper documentation must accompany the collectible item(s)  Children’s toys from fast food restaurants are strictly prohibited and may not be used as decorations or ornaments  Designers must bring their own tools and supplies on Decorating Day, including stepladders  Everything displayed with the auction item must be sold with the auction item  The bid stand may not be decorated  Once delivered to the Interstate Center, all items are considered a donation and become property of The Baby Fold. Remember that your item may be moved several times by the Designer Committee to better suit the layout of the overall Festival.  The Festival of Trees reserves the right to set item values, buy-it-now prices, and minimum bids. To help determine these values, please include a fair market dollar amount on your Design Description form. If a value is not on the form, you will be asked for a value at check-in.  Leave your numbered inventory tag attached to your item at all times  To insure the safety of gift certificates and other small items of value, please let the Designer Committee know during check-in. Copies of those certificates may be placed on/with your item. Trees  The Festival will supply trees to you at no charge; 4’ with white lights or 7’ with white lights  7’ trees will only be available to decorate at the Interstate Center  If you are providing your own tree, please contact the Designer Committee for special instructions  Total height of the decorated tree including topper cannot exceed 8 feet; trees taller than 8’ are at-risk for delivery damage  Trees must be decorated to be viewed on all sides  Remember that trees will be moved multiple times – including onto a delivery truck and to the buyer’s home, so all ornaments must be wired securely to the tree. Ornaments with an inserted or slip-in hanging attachment must be glued where the two pieces meet so the hanger cannot slip out (a hot glue guns work well for this)  All trees must have a tree skirt  Do not remove the tree bag from beneath the tree

Wreaths, Set-a-Tables, and Other  Designers donating wreaths, mantel pieces, centerpieces, stockings or others will supply all of their own materials  For table settings, the Festival of Trees will supply a table made from a round wood circle top, 36” in diameter or a cube 36”x36”  Each table setting is to be designed to have its own tablecloth that accompanies and compliments the settings. ITEM DROP OFF/DECORATING INFORMATION Drop off times for pre-decorated 4’ trees and other pieces are Tuesday, November 14 th from 5PM – 8PM and Wednesday November 15th from 5PM – 8PM ONLY 7’ Trees and Set-a-Table may be decorated at the Interstate Center on Wednesday, November 15 th from 9AM – 8PM ONLY
