Lessons for practice

1. Physicians do find teratogen information services a valuable resource for reassurance,

in counseling their patients about the safety of exposures during pregnancy

2. Physicians should be encouraged to access electronic means such as MEDLINE

and PUBMED especially as most physicians do own a computer.
