Mission Statement The Harding Township School provides a strong educational foundation which inspires students to achieve academic excellence. Our dedicated faculty stimulates intellectual growth using a challenging curriculum within a supportive learning environment. We encourage students to become self-directed, lifelong learners who are well prepared for the academic and social challenges of the future.
2013/14 District Goals 1. To develop a student dashboard and use the data to improve the instructional process.

In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq., adequate notification of this meeting has been provided to the Observer Tribune on January 2, 2014, and posted on the bulletin boards of the New Vernon Post Office, Green Village Post Office, Harding Township Municipal Building, Harding Township Elementary School and Harding Township Middle School on January 2, 2014.

Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, approves the minutes of the Regular Meeting/Public Budget Hearing and Executive Session, held on May 5, 2014, as submitted.

05-128-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the Memorandum of Agreement between the Harding Township Board of Education and the Harding Township Education Association, between the Board and the Association, for the period July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2017, dated May 13, 2014.
05-129-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, accepts a gift from the Harding Township Education Foundation, in the amount of $46,624, which was paid directly to Audio Visual Associates, 1 Stewart Court, Denville, New Jersey 07834, for the retrofit of 16 existing SMART Boards, said gift includes all materials, labor, and project management costs.

05-135-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, approves the payment of bills and claims, May 19, 2014, in the amount of $794,737.19.
05-136-14 Whereas, the Harding Township Board of Education solicited bids for its Phase II Window and Unit Ventilator replacement project at the Middle School; and Whereas, bids were received and publicly opened on May 15, 2014, at the district’s administrative offices, at 1:00pm; and Whereas, three (3) bids were received as follows: 1) TM Brennan Contractors, Inc., base bid $284,500 with Alternate $6,800; 2) EACU Corp., base bid $292,275 with Alternate $5,100; and 3) SAI Services, Inc., base bid $307,955 with Alternate $7,500; now Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of Board Counsel and HQW Architects, awards the project to the low bidder, TM Brennan Contractors, Inc., and authorizes the Board Secretary to issue a “Notice To Proceed” with the project.

05-141-14 Be It Resolved, that the Harding Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves Tomasina Hamfeldt, Substitute Teacher, at $95.00 per diem, as needed, effective May 29 thru June 30, 2014.
