Access Statement For KNAPTOFT HOUSE FARM AND THE GREENWAY Introduction

This is a Farmhouse providing Bed and Breakfast for overnight guests.

Pre-Arrival

• We have a website and brochure providing information for guests. We can take bookings over the phone or via email.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

• We have a large car park area by the house for guests which is signed. Any less able guests can park close to the house .The car parking area is gravel at the farmhouse and concrete at the greenway.

Main Entrance & Reception

• The farm house has a gently sloping path (near level) up to the front door with no steps, also an 970mm conservatory door, where there is seating .The Greenway has level access from the car parking .The parking and front door is approx 9 metres in both cases along paving slabs. We also have sensor lighting on the car park and entrance area.

Public Areas - General (Internal)

• There is a conservatory at the greenway with level access from the bedrooms and front door .The farmhouse has a dining, sitting room and conservatory all with level access.

Public Areas - WC

• We have a downstairs toilet at the farmhouse .It is next to the dining room .The hall way is carpeted.

Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar & Lounges, Take Away & Cafe

• The dining room is in the farmhouse. We can take a wheelchair at the table where necessary . The door is 730mm wide. It is carpeted .It is non smoking .We cater for dietary requirements.There is waitress service .

Bedrooms

• In the Farmhouse we have 3 1st floor bedrooms .The stairs have a hand rail either side. Tv with teletext. All the bedrooms are carpeted .The Greenway has 3 groundfloor bedrooms .They are all zip and link. All access is level .Fridge in the hallway .One bedroom is larger will take a wheelchair but doorway is 750mm.

Bathroom, Shower-room & WC [Ensuite or Shared]

• The bathrooms in the farmhouse are more compact and have 600mm doors .The Greenway has one bathroom that is fitted with a grab rail by the toilet and in the shower. All the ensuites have shower with thermostatic shower mixer hand basin and toilet. They have a rhinofloor surface.The shower trays vary but some are up to 200mm high.

Grounds and Gardens

• We have in both houses a patio area that joins the house .It has a wooden table, chairs and parasol. The rest of the garden surrounds the house and is uneven but can be seen from the patio area.
