I corrected messages content and format of booklets, leaflets, cartoons and posters. Then I was responsible for producing sensitization tools against HIV/AIDS through different channels. In this capacity I produced a brochure on Gender, Human Rights and HIV/AIDS in Kirundi, I supervised the launch of a leaflet and a brochure on the importance of observance among PLWHA on ARV treatment. I regularly organized workshops, seminars, campaigns, open days, advocacy activities involving Members of Parliament and Senate and media workshops with journalists. I am familiar with Reproductive Health, Gender Human Rights and HIV/AIDS. In the past, I contributed to the promotion of gender equity and equality through law amendments proposals in collaboration with Women Lawyers Associations. I worked for the promotion of girls schooling with FAWE-Burundi and reproductive rights with UNFPA.

Furthermore, I realized many research works in the socio-economic and cultural domains as an Independent Consultant. Categories of such works are essentially training sessions, documentaries studies, surveys, projects and programmes elaboration and evaluation for United Nations Agencies: UNICEF, UNFPA, UNDP, UNAIDS ; NGOs namely SOS-Kinderdorf International, CMEA-France, PSI-Burundi, SWAA-Burundi, CORDAID, ACORD, ALUMA, RCN Justice & Democracy, APEFE … The following skills are familiar to me: the problems tree, the log frame matrix, the work plan, budgeting, the Objectively Verifiable Indicators and the Objective Means of Verification selection, results based management techniques in projects or programmes implementation.

12. Education . I ended the secondary education in Burasira Seminary Arts section in 1971 and hold a State Certificate. I attended the University of Burundi from 1971 to 1974 and hold a MA level diploma in Educational Sciences. From 1979 to 1980, I attended the Teaching English as a 2

Foreign Language course (TEFL) focusing on oral communication at « Colchester English Study Centre » under the British Council sponsorship in Great Britain. I benefited from that institution’s language laboratory for corrective phonetics and underwent the English language immersion pedagogy by living with a British family for a full academic year. . In 1999, I received a Human Rights package to learn for 7 months and passed a test forwarded in Kigali by the ’’Geneva Security Centre ’’ of the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I succeeded the test and got the right to attend an International Human Rights Training for Field Officers in Cartigny near Geneva. . In 2000, I attended an International Training for Trainers in Gender, Population and Development focusing on gender analysis, mainstreaming and Behaviour Change Communication approach for more than 20 days in Tunis. . In 2001, I attended one week training in Participatory Techniques with community based programmes and projects elaboration focused on Reproductive Health at Ngozi ( October 2001). The training stressed on Gender equity to cope with Reproductive Health issues. . Within the same year, I undertook a 15 day study tour to learn about AIDS fight strategies from Uganda experience under the supervision of UGANDA AIDS COMMISSION (UAC) at Kampala and other townships. I had the opportunity to get in touch with principal stakeholders in AIDS fight, human rights and gender promotion. . In 2004, I attended one week International Strategic Communication Training during a workshop on HIV/AIDS in the framework of Support to International Partnership Programme Against HIV/AIDS in Africa (SIPAA) and Action Aid in collaboration with Healthlink Worldwide organised at Bujumbura from November 8 through 12. . In 2004, I took part in 2 workshops on HIV/AIDS Mainstreaming Techniques, simplification and consolidation Tools and that allowed me to get familiar with HIV/AIDS integration in development programmes. . In August 2006, I took part in the XVI th International AIDS Conference held in Toronto, Canada after sending an Abstract on HIV/AIDS Mainstreaming project for IDPs and Repatriates in Burundi.
