In attendance – St. Colette, St. Emily, St. Francis, St. Hubert, St. James, St. Mary, Holy Family, Our Lady of the Wayside, Queen of the Rosary, St. Raymond, St. Theresa, St. Thomas, St. Zachary, Jerry Klopp

Not in Attendance: Eddie Fay (St.Anne), St. Alphonsus, St. Gilbert

The meeting was called to order at 6:30.

Treasurer Report: Jerry Klopp

We have money in the bank. $792 profit from Boys’ Championship games

Invoices for spring sports sent out, please mail check to Jerry. One school is still outstanding for Winter sports.

Boys’ playoffs went well. St. Viator boys’ basketball players helped with set-up, clean-up and scorekeeping.

First ever forfeit in playoff history – QR 8th boys had to forfeit due to a Confirmation conflict. SMBG advanced.

St. Viator girls’ basketball players will help for the girls’ championship games.

Commissioners Report: Mike Morrisey

1. Minutes approved from December meeting. All meeting minutes can be found on the Conference Website. Eddie will no longer send them out to Athletic Directors; they will be posted on website.

2. Playoff gyms and conflicts need to be sent to John Collins today! Playoffs start 2/22

a. Girls’ Championship games to be held at St. Viator on Sunday, February 28th

i. AD Volunteers- St. Theresa, St. Raymond, ST. Thomas, OLW

3. Reporting of scores – send in all 6th, 7th and 8th grade scores

a. We need scores, not just W/L. We need to know what kind of game it was for standings and decided gold/silver for next year.

b. Report grade, level, gender and score

c. Scores are still not being sent in- forfeits do not seem to affect the schools

i. Consequences to be discussed at May meeting

4. Rescheduling of Games

a. Needs to be done within 2 weeks tops! Try to have games played before seeding cut-off. Be willing to play game in away gym if necessary.

5. Referee Behavior/Appearance

a. Please report both good and bad comments to Ed Gerdes.

b. Suggestions for girls’ Championship games - send names to Ed Gerdes.

c. Refs for boys’ Championship games did a good job. 6. Track and Field

a. 3/1 Practices can start

b. 3/17 Track Coaches meeting 7:00

c. 3/30 Rosters due to Eddie Fay

d. Meet Schedule- if your school has conflicts, send to Eddie asap

4/2 Carmel (9:00) 4/3 Hoffman Estates (1:00)

4/16 Carmel (1:00 start) 4/17 Hoffman Estates (1:00)

4/30 Carmel -JV Conference 5/1 Hoffman Estates – Varsity Conference

7. Boys Volleyball

a. 2/8 practices can start

b. 2/22 Scheduling meeting 6:30

c. Rosters due 2/29 – if a player is not on the roster for the season, they cannot play in the finals

d. Have rules/rosters at score table and make sure coaches have read the rules

e. Finals at St. Aviator 4/24

i. Games at 7:00 to avoid track meet conflicts***

8. Basketball

a. 5th grade league – divide up 4th graders. No 4TH grade only teams.

b. 6 QTR rule needs to be followed

c. Teams may only bring up players to have max. 8 on the bench

d. Players may not be double-rostered

e. If a player is not on the roster, he/she will not play at the Championship game

f. Coaches Behavior- few incidents this year that were reported/there were repercussions.

g. 6 QTR rule and bringing up players needs to be put on NWCC Rules rather than in Bi-Laws. NEW BUSINESS

9. Softball

a. JV – 5/6 graders

b. Varsity – 7/8 graders

9. Soccer League- Fall

a. St. James will send out information.

b. 5-8 grade co-ed league

10. 8th Grade All-Star Game – suggested by Mike Morrisey

a. To be discussed at May meeting

February 22nd – Boys volleyball scheduling meeting @6:30

February 28th – Girls Basketball Finals at St. Viator

February 29th – Boys Volleyball Coaches meeting @7:00

March 1st – Rosters due for Boys volleyball; volleyball games begin

May 9th – Next AD meeting @ 6:30 / St. Anne
