<p> Northwest Catholic Conference - Athletic Directors’ Meeting</p><p>February 8, 2016</p><p>In attendance – St. Colette, St. Emily, St. Francis, St. Hubert, St. James, St. Mary, Holy Family, Our Lady of the Wayside, Queen of the Rosary, St. Raymond, St. Theresa, St. Thomas, St. Zachary, Jerry Klopp</p><p>Not in Attendance: Eddie Fay (St.Anne), St. Alphonsus, St. Gilbert</p><p>The meeting was called to order at 6:30. </p><p>Prayer: Our Father</p><p>Treasurer Report: Jerry Klopp</p><p>We have money in the bank. $792 profit from Boys’ Championship games</p><p>Invoices for spring sports sent out, please mail check to Jerry. One school is still outstanding for Winter sports.</p><p>Boys’ playoffs went well. St. Viator boys’ basketball players helped with set-up, clean-up and scorekeeping. </p><p>First ever forfeit in playoff history – QR 8th boys had to forfeit due to a Confirmation conflict. SMBG advanced.</p><p>St. Viator girls’ basketball players will help for the girls’ championship games. </p><p>Commissioners Report: Mike Morrisey</p><p>1. Minutes approved from December meeting. All meeting minutes can be found on the Conference Website. Eddie will no longer send them out to Athletic Directors; they will be posted on website. </p><p>2. Playoff gyms and conflicts need to be sent to John Collins today! Playoffs start 2/22</p><p> a. Girls’ Championship games to be held at St. Viator on Sunday, February 28th</p><p> i. AD Volunteers- St. Theresa, St. Raymond, ST. Thomas, OLW</p><p>3. Reporting of scores – send in all 6th, 7th and 8th grade scores</p><p> a. We need scores, not just W/L. We need to know what kind of game it was for standings and decided gold/silver for next year. </p><p> b. Report grade, level, gender and score</p><p> c. Scores are still not being sent in- forfeits do not seem to affect the schools</p><p> i. Consequences to be discussed at May meeting</p><p>4. Rescheduling of Games</p><p> a. Needs to be done within 2 weeks tops! Try to have games played before seeding cut-off. Be willing to play game in away gym if necessary.</p><p>5. Referee Behavior/Appearance</p><p> a. Please report both good and bad comments to Ed Gerdes.</p><p> b. Suggestions for girls’ Championship games - send names to Ed Gerdes.</p><p> c. Refs for boys’ Championship games did a good job. 6. Track and Field</p><p> a. 3/1 Practices can start</p><p> b. 3/17 Track Coaches meeting 7:00</p><p> c. 3/30 Rosters due to Eddie Fay</p><p> d. Boys Volleyball</p><p> a. 2/8 practices can start</p><p> b. 2/22 Scheduling meeting 6:30</p><p> c. Rosters due 2/29 – if a player is not on the roster for the season, they cannot play in the finals</p><p> d. Have rules/rosters at score table and make sure coaches have read the rules</p><p> e. Finals at St. Aviator 4/24</p><p> i. Games at 7:00 to avoid track meet conflicts***</p><p>8. Basketball</p><p> a. 5th grade league – divide up 4th graders. No 4TH grade only teams. </p><p> b. 6 QTR rule needs to be followed</p><p> c. Teams may only bring up players to have max. 8 on the bench</p><p> d. Players may not be double-rostered</p><p> e. If a player is not on the roster, he/she will not play at the Championship game</p><p> f. Coaches Behavior- few incidents this year that were reported/there were repercussions.</p><p> g. 6 QTR rule and bringing up players needs to be put on NWCC Rules rather than in Bi-Laws.
