Welcome to the start of a new exciting season. As a club we value and appreciate your effort in providing our SGFC players with the best possible experiences and environment for them as players to improve and enjoy being a SGFC member. A massive ‘THANK YOU’ in advance. Without you, there would be no youth teams!

Below are a few key points that we believe will help you, players/parents over the season.

Managers/Coaches Expectations

 To always conduct yourself in the appropriate manner and continually set good examples to Parents and Players.  Gain/maintain suitable FA qualification, DBS, Safeguarding and First Aid  Communicate with players/parents regarding training, fixtures & events eg text, facebook, email.  Emphasise good performance over results. Be patient with mistakes!!  Be as fair as possible with team selection & playing time (Fair doesn’t always mean playing the same time as everyone else. A player may have missed training or messed around in training. This could mean you leaving them out or limiting playing time)  Confirm home fixture with opposition manager on/before Wednesday evening.  Text in result to Charlotte at Pioneer Youth League-07912 674 551  Fill in team sheet appropriately and send to Charlotte-25 Severn Road, Shiphay, Torquay, TQ2 7LZ  Get Parents to complete ‘Personal Information’ form and return to you. Keep safe and provide a copy to the club. (Pay attention to any specific medical info for your players)  Make sure goals/flags etc are set up and returned to appropriate place after game/training. Clear area of rubbish/lost property. Report any damage/concerns to Rich  Promote/raise awareness of Club functions eg Christmas Party, End of Season Presentation, Jackpot draw etc..  COMMUNICATION- As a club we are here to make the experience of managing/coaching a team as enjoyable as possible. Please come to us with any requests for assistant in any areas. Your suggestions will be addressed at next committee meeting and feedback will be provided.  Please laise with Rich (07375 786 808) regarding training and games.

As a club we will offer the following to you

 Full support in attaining Coaching qualifications, DBS, Safeguarding and First Aid  Provide support when dealing with any playing/parental issues  Work with you to provide playing kit eg suitable sponsor  Work with you to provide a SGFC jacket for yourself  Provide Balls, bibs and cones for training along with a suitable facility/time slot  Use of the clubhouse after every home game  Free membership for your son ie no subs.  Season ticket to all First team games
