Vantage Fusion (vFusion) School Intelligence System – Fact Sheet
Statement of Initiative In the spring of 2008, Vantage purchased the source code for the K12net application from Yuce (an IS company headquartered in Turkey). The purpose of the source code purchase was for Vantage to develop a student information system that would be packaged for the US market and sold to states, districts, and/or schools across the country.
The US branding of this application is Vantage Fusion (vFusion) and internationally the application is branded as K12Net. Vantage has the exclusive rights to sell vFusion in the US market and Yuce sells the application internationally.
The contractual agreement is that Yuce would be the developers for this application and Vantage would provide level 1 customer support to customers for this application. Also, Yuce would receive 50% of each subscription fee (to be paid to Yuce monthly once the system is implemented).
Additional detail on Yuce: In addition to developing the K12Net application, Yuce owns 4 private schools (1 Kindergarten, 1 Elementary School and 2 High Schools) which follow the standard curriculum regulated by the Ministry of Education (MoE) of Turkey and they use the K12net application for their SIS and assessment systems. These schools are located together on a large campus with a total of 1500 students in attendance.
