Activities description

TYPICAL EVENING/DINNER AT THE SUGAR SHACK , MARCH 26TH, 2007 (DURATION: 3 HOURS) At the sugar shack, everything is tradition. It is French Canadian’s sole and tradition at its purest. Located on the Island of Orleans, the sugar shack we are suggesting will have you and your delegates discover and enjoy an even as we “quebecois” like to spend them: casual clothing, typical music and dance, hearty meal (see menu example attached) coated with a generous helping of maple syrup, multiple maple products, and hot maple toffee on snow of course! Includes: Transportation, exclusive room, all you can eat typical dinner (beverage on your own), live entertainment.

HISTORIC DINNER AT LES VOÛTES DU CAVOUR , MARCH 28TH, 2007 (DURATION: 3 HOURS) For at least 2,000 years before the Europeans arrived, Amerindians frequently stopped on the point of land now occupied by the historical site of Place-Royale. In 1608, Samuel de Champlain began to construct a fortified post for the fur trade with the Native peoples. Place-Royale later became the "market square" and was above all the centre of trade in New France. From 1633, when hundreds of Amerindians came to a major fur fair, until 1759, the square was a hub of activity. Many vaults were then built for food storage … and it is in the last remaining original vault that Les Voûtes du Cavour restaurant welcomes you for that historic evening. Enjoy the music of our live accordionist player while being served a three services dinner prepared by Les Voûtes’ chef (beverage on your own). Includes: Transportation, exclusive room, short presentation on Place Royale, three courses dinner (beverage on your own), live entertainment.
