Flood/heavy rainfall situation report as on 11 th September, 2017 upto 1730 Hrs.

1. Highlights of Situation report given by SEOCs

As per situation report received from SEOCs, during last 24 hours due to heavy rainfall the following damages have been reported:

1.i. Assam: District affected 07, Human lives lost-01.

1.ii. West Bengal: District affected 02, Human lives lost- 03.

1.iii. Uttar Pradesh: District affected 03, Human lives lost Nil.

1.iv. Bihar: District affected Nil, Human lives lost-Nil.

2. Forecasting:

a) CWC

According to the Central Water Commission (CWC) report dated 11/09/2017 received at 1310 hrs, there is no unprecedented and high flood site in the country, 05 Moderate flood sites have been reported i.e. 04 in Assam, 01 in Bihar. b) IMD

On 12 September’2017 Heavy rain very likely at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Konkan & Goa, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep area.

The flood situation report of Assam, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar is attached as Appendix-I and cumulative loss data as on 11th September’2017 is attached as Appendix-II

Assistance provided by Government of India:-

i. NDRF 11 teams of NDRF consisting of 331 rescuers are deployed in flood affected areas of Assam. During last 24 hrs NDRF Teams evacuated 753 persons, retrieved 01 dead body and distributed relief materials. So far teams have rescued 94, evacuated 8001 persons, retrieved 05 dead bodies and distributed Dry Ration- 15528 Bags, Tarpaulin-1576 Nos, Gur-1700 Kgs, Salt-334050 Pkts, Water Bottle/Pouches-3571 Nos, Biscuits/Namkeen-2975 Pkts, Candles-1230 pkts, Bleaching Powder-1540 Kgs, Water Purifying Tablets-24150 Nos, Cattle Feed-322100 Kgs, Mustard Oil-13665 Ltrs., Clothes 869 Nos, Mosquito Nets-420 Nos, Milk-330 Pkt, Food Pkts 375 Nos, and Medical assistance to 113 flood affected persons and 10841 animals. ii.
