Said notice was published in the Star Ledger and the Glen Ridge Paper on February 20, 2014. The date, time, and location of this meeting were also emailed to all recipients of the annual schedule of the Board's meetings. John M. PERSONNEL P-1 Resignations Accept the resignation of Peter Adams, part-time special education aide at Glen Ridge High School, effective November 12, 2014. P-2 Appointments Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, approve the appointment of the following staff for the 2014-2015 school year: a. Amy German as a replacement part-time aide at Forest Avenue School on aide step 1 ($18.38 per hour) effective November 19, 2014 until the return of the permanent staff member. b. Kyle Rupinski as a part-time special education aide at Glen Ridge High School on aide step 1 ($18.38 per hour) effective December 8, 2014 through June 30, 2015. P-3 Co-Curricular Approve John Poff as the drama director at Ridgewood Avenue School on guide 5 step 1 year 2 ($3,325) for the 2014-2015 school year. P-4 Substitutes Approve the addition of Chet Mazula and Kenneth Schwartz to the substitute list for the 2014-2015 school year. Agenda – December 8, 2014 Page 3

P-5 Extra Duty Stipend Approve a .75 extra duty stipend to Matthew Cannici in the amount of $2,317.13 for the 2014-2015 school year.

P-6 Leave of Absence Approve a maternity leave of absence to Erica Schwerin-Walsh, music teacher at Ridgewood Avenue School, effective on or about April 2, 2015 through the remainder of the school year. Ms. Schwerin-Walsh will utilize her unused sick days as per the Master Agreement. Her anticipated return is October 19, 2015.

CURRICULUM C-1 Field Trips Approve the following field trips for students for the 2014-2015 school year: a. High School Community Service Club (grades 9-12) to visit St. Ann’s Soup Kitchen in Newark, NJ on December 15, 2014 as per the attached. (Exhibit C-1.a) b. Chinese Club and Classes (grades 7 and 8) to experience the sport of ping pong at Lily Yip Table Tennis Training Center in Dunellen, NJ on February 13, 2015 as per the attached. (Exhibit C-1.b) c. High School Robotics-FTC students (grades 9-12) to attend the FTC Robotics Competition being held at Timothy Christian School in Piscataway, NJ on January 17, 2015 as per the attached. (Exhibit C-1.c) d. High School Robotics-FTC students (grades 9-12) to attend the FTC Robotics Competition being held at Chatham High School in Chatham, NJ on January 11, 2015 as per the attached. (Exhibit C-1.d) e. Glen Ridge Chorus (grades 9-12) to visit Hackensack UMC Mountainside Hospital and perform carols for the hospital patients on December 19, 2014 as per the attached. B-2 Workshops/Conferences Approve attendance at workshops/conferences for the following: a. Samantha Soney to attend the “Meet the Rigorous Common Core State Standards for Writing” workshop being held at The Wilshire Grand Hotel in West Orange, NJ on January 26, 2015 for a total registration cost of $239. b. Tia Gist to attend the “Using Stretch to Re-educate Muscles” workshop being held at The Holiday Inn in Parsippany, NJ on December 15, 2014 for a total registration cost of $179. c. Duke Mendez to attend the 2015 NJAHPERD Annual Convention being held at The Ocean Place Resort & Spa in Long Branch, NJ on February 23 and 24, 2015 for a total cost of $212.12 ($100 registration plus $50 membership plus $62.12 travel). B-4 Donations Accept, with thanks, the following generous donations: a. One (1) Year IXL Math License for grades 1-2 and one (1) year IXL ELA License for grade 2 (valued at $1,637) from the Forest Avenue Home & School Association to enhance the Math and Language Arts Programs at Forest Avenue School.
