Dear Colleague:
The Le Moyne College Upward Bound Program is currently recruiting Tutor Counselors for the Saturday Scholastic Academy.
The Upward Bound Program is a federally funded program designed to help first generation college students develop the skills and the motivation necessary to graduate from high school, enter, and graduate from a post-secondary institution.
Tutor Counselors assist instructors during the tutoring sessions in the Saturday Scholastic Academy (7:15 a.m.-11:45 a.m.) Students receive tutoring in Math, Science, English (writing, grammar and Composition), Social Studies, Reading Spanish and ACT/SAT Preparation.
College students interested in working as Tutor Counselors must have completed at least 45 credit hours and have at least a 2.5 GPA or better.
Tutor counselors will be compensated at a pay rate of $8.75 per hour. The commitment is 5 hours per week. (work hours Saturday, 7:15am – noon)
