PORTFOLIO OF EVIDENCE
FOR ADMISSION TO ADVANCED CT IMAGING MODULE (RDGY40840) OF MASTERS IN COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY 2010
The Masters in CT (MSc CT) in University College Dublin (UCD) is a NQAI Level 9 qualification. The academic entry requirement for the Advanced CT Imaging module of the MSc CT (RDGY40840) requires the applicant to hold a Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent in CT. All applicants applying for admission to the above module of the MSc CT Programme are required to submit details of Prior Learning and Portfolio of Evidence in accordance with the guidelines as laid out in this document. Applicants must critically reflect on how their prior learning and clinical experience to date has prepared them to undertake this module.
Interested applicants who have not completed their Postgraduate Diploma in UCD must also submit the following documents in addition to the Portfolio of Evidence:
An official transcript of results from the institution that awarded your Postgraduate qualification (CT) to you. Each University has its own process for applying for transcripts and you are advised to consult your University for this information. A formal syllabus of your CT course which includes topics covered, texts and references, learning outcomes and assessment and grading criteria. This syllabus must be obtained by you from the institution that awarded the CT Postgraduate qualification. This syllabus must then be sent in to Ms Anne Hegarty, Diagnostic Imaging, UCD. Prospective students are advised to apply immediately to the University where they undertook their Postgraduate course in CT to get a copy of their CT documents as this can sometimes be a lengthy process. Prospective students who do not receive their course documents or transcripts by June 11th 2010 are advised to send in the Application form and Portfolio on its own by the above date and to send the transcripts and course documentation to Diagnostic Imaging, UCD as soon as possible.

This section of the portfolio should contain no more than 1000 words. Applicants can refer to courses, conferences, study days, project work in the clinical setting or research to demonstrate how they have advanced their professional and clinical skills in relation to CT scanning. Evidence of attendance of courses, conferences or study days must be included.
