The following guidelines need to be followed in preparing for talent show auditions. 1. Students in grs. K-4 have a 3 min. time limit. 2. Student in grs. 5-8 have a 4 min. time limit. 3. Acts involving students in various grades have a 4-minute time limit.

4. All vocal acts are required to have live or karaoke accompaniment. Singing with a pre-recorded vocalist is not acceptable and the act will be disqualified at auditions.

5. Parents, grandparents, older or younger brothers and/or sisters may participate.

6. Students may create an act with any other student(s) in school. Groups may be any size as long as they will fit on the stage.

7. All music should be listened to carefully before chosen. Acts that choose to include songs containing foul language and/or lyrics that suggest abuse, violence, drugs, alcohol, sexuality or adultery, etc. will be disqualified from auditions.

8. Pet acts are permitted.

9. All auditions will need to be recorded on a VHS video tape, DVD, flashdrive or email attachment. Uploading the video on Facebook does not work at school. Our classroom computers block Facebook. The audition recording sent to the reviewers is to be the actual act to be performed. All recordings will need to be submitted by Thurs., Apr. 7. The talent show will be held on Thurs., Apr. 14 in the afternoon. A panel of teachers will evaluate the acts and make decisions regarding talent show participation. There is a 90 minute time limit for the show so only the top rated acts will participate. Auditions in the past have proven to be very competitive in the past years. The category of dance singing are the most difficult because of the large number of auditions in these categories.

10. All clothing for the talent show should be appropriate for school. All guidelines for dress down days and dress up days apply. Any exceptions should be approved by Mrs. Stuckenschneider
