N vs. G Series

The question has come up a lot recently about the difference between our N and G series products. The answer is simple. When we make Zeeospheres, the product is naturally dark (N Series). For some customers where color is important to them, we add some minerals in to lighten the color (G series). On our data sheets, the L value spec for the G series is 64-69 and the L value spec for the N series is 30-50*.

Besides the obvious difference in color, there is also a difference in price. Because we do not have to add any minerals into the N series, the cost tends to be 10-20% less expensive then the G series. Except for color, all other physical properties between the two series remain the same!

I encourage all account managers when recommending Zeeospheres to ask your customer if color is important to them. If color is important, we recommend the G series. If it is not, we recommend the N series. Please refer to the back of our 2012 brochure for a color swatch.

*Please be aware that although it is titled G-850, this product is actually the same darker color as the N series.
