Valentine’s Family Festival

United Way Fox Cities Emerging Leaders at work giving, advocating, & volunteering in our community.

MENASHA, Wis. – The United Way Valentine’s Family Festival, a free event for children ages 12 & under and their families, will be held on Saturday, February 11 from 1-3:30 pm at Maplewood Middle School, 1600 Midway Road, Menasha.

Organized and hosted by the United Way Fox Cities Emerging Leaders, this year’s Valentine’s Family Festival will include cookie decorating, games, arts & crafts, a photo booth, and a live DJ. Admission is free and the first 500 or so children will receive a free gift. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

United Way Fox Cities Emerging Leaders is a 500+ and growing group of civic-minded, young Fox Cities’ professionals who give, advocate, volunteer and encourage others to do the same on behalf of the United Way organization. The group also educates their peers about the issues facing the local community and ways in which to make a positive impact against those issues. As one of the group’s keynote events, members have worked to organize this annual Festival, recruiting fellow coworkers and friends to volunteer and their employers to sponsor the event.

“We are once again excited to provide Fox Cities families a free and fun event to celebrate Valentine’s Day,” said Dustin McClone, steering committee chair of the United Way Fox Cities Emerging Leaders. “As young professionals from a variety of professions and companies, this event is just one way we can come together as Emerging Leaders to give back in our community.”

The event is sponsored by Alta Resources, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, and many other local businesses.
