QAR VETERAN’S HOUSING OPPORTUNITY GRANT APPLICATION FOR ASSISTANCE

The QAR Veteran’s Housing Opportunity Grant program is offered by the Quincy Association of Realtors® through grants provided by the Illinois Realtors® and National Association of Realtors®. Everyday Life Skills (ELS) training provided through Madonna House, courtesy of Joanne Dedert. “The Federal Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of residential dwellings, and in other residential real estate related transactions, based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, national origin, familial status and disability.”

Grant requests may be submitted by eligible US Military Veterans and Active Duty Service Personnel for housing Purchase or Rental assistance in the Quincy Association of Realtors general market area of Adams County IL and the immediate vicinity.

Grants will be for a minimum of $500 and a maximum of $1500 per grant request per calendar year

Applicants must be sponsored by a Quincy Association of Realtors® member, Lender Affiliate member or QAR Veteran’s Housing Opportunity Grant Committee member to assist with application and agree to regular follow up by sponsor for purposes of tracking grant program progress

For consideration, all applications must include the following:

Rental Assistance  Completed Application for Assistance signed by QAR sponsor  Copy of DD214 or if active, Statement of Service from CO  Copy of lease with Lessor contact information  Proof applicant successfully completed ELS program

Purchase Assistance  Completed Application for Assistance signed by QAR sponsor  Copy of DD214 or if active, Statement of Service from CO  Copy of accepted Contract to Purchase showing signatures final price & address  Copy of loan preapproval letter  Buyer Certificate of completion for MGIC Homebuyer Education Program
