To be nominated for this Customer Service Specialist of the Quarter, an employee must consistently excel in the area of customer service. Please follow these steps when making a nomination:  The employee's direct Supervisor and the Department Head must approve each nomination.  Please don't confuse excellent customer service with excellent job performance. The goal of this program is to reward employees who go "above and beyond" the expectation in the realm of

customer service.  Every employee in Cobb County serves one or more types of customers. Please define who the nominee's customer is, and provide documentation accordingly. o If a nominee directly serves the public, the documentation and examples of excellent customer service should come from the public and from the employee's direct supervisor. o If a nominee serves other County departments, the documentation and examples of excellent customer service should be provided by the employees and/or supervisors of the department(s) being served who have direct knowledge of the service being provided. o If a nominee serves external customers who would not normally provide feedback or documentation (such as detainees at the jail, users of a park, or the citizens served by Public Safety), the documentation and examples should come directly from the employee's supervisor or other employee(s) who have direct knowledge of the excellent customer service that is being provided.  Carefully follow the instructions for completing the nomination package.

What type of customer does the Nominee serve?

Does the Nominee provide friendly, courteous customer service that goes "Above and Beyond?" As documentation, please provide at least five (5) current examples of how the employee has provided customer service that exceeds the expectation of their position. If there are letters, comment cards, or other supporting data, copies may be attached, however they may not be substituted for the written documentation required.
