Endorsements should be in the form of five letters, which should be word-processed (12 font), double-spaced, and not to exceed two pages in length. Suggested sources include an administrator, supervisor, fellow teacher, parent of a student, or a student. Letters should discuss areas of excellence in teaching and personal qualities, highlighting nominee’s knowledge/enthusiasm of reading across the curriculum, teaching effectiveness, impact on colleagues, and willingness to share ideas and methods. Objectivity, factual data and specific examples are important.
