Position: Membership Intern Department: Membership Reports to: Membership Director FLSA Status: Non-exempt Employment Status: Part-time; Portsmouth, RI
The membership department at US Sailing has an internship opportunity available from June – August 2016. The role is suitable for someone considering a career in Communications and/or Customer Service.
The environment is fast-paced and this opportunity allows you to work with a variety of departments within the organization. Excellent customer service skills, exceptional attention to detail and strong problem solving skills are required while you are interacting with individual and organizational members and customers. US Sailing provides a broad array of programs, services and products of value to its members and the broader sailing community.
The internship involves: Setting and managing timelines related to new and recurring tasks Database management Analysis of email and mail campaign metrics Maintaining and updating the website Administrative work including shipping and fulfilling member incentive orders
Job requirements are: Excellent communication skills, especially written and proof-reading Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Google docs Time management and problem solving skills Excellent customer service Exceptional attention to detail
