Group Class Guidelines

Your class Instructor looks forward to working with you and your dog and hope that can provide the best possible learning environment for the both of you. To properly do this, we ask for your cooperation in observing the following guidelines:

1. Please bring your dog into the training facility on a leash and under control. 2. Do not feed your dog for two hours prior to coming to class. 3. When arriving, please take your dog straight to the fenced turf yard on the east side of the building. There is a scooper and trash can to clean up after your pet. a. If there are any accident while inside the building, please scoop & mop, or use paper towels and disinfectant spray to clean up. 4. Please do not allow your dog to make physical contact with other dogs until your Instructor gives you permission. Often times your dog is friendly and another dog may not be; or the class setting may be stressful for some dogs and we want to make timely progress for those shy or fearful dogs. Some dogs simply may not appreciate the advances of another dog, so please refrain until we build up our socialization setting for the class. 5. We prefer one person train and handle the dog while in class. Other family members and friends are encouraged to attend and watch and observe. They may then participate in your practice sessions at home a. Young children must be adequately supervised, and no canine visitors are allowed loose on the property. 6. Smoking is not allowed in or near any of the buildings on the property. Please dispose of cigarette butts properly as they are hazardous to dogs’ health. 7. For your comfort and safety, please wear soft soled closed toed shoes and casual clothing. You will be getting down on the ground to work with your dog. 8. Dogs must be in good health and current on vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper & Bordetella). If your dog is not feeling well, please attend but leave them at home. Females in season may still attend, but must wear “doggie panties”. 9. If you miss a class, please arrive 15 minutes prior to the next one to get an overview of the material you missed. This will give you minimal time to practice but give you an idea of what we will be reviewing. You may prefer to schedule a make-up lesson with your Instructor for which there will be an additional charge. 10. If you are physically unable to manage any or our training techniques or do not understand what we are doing at any time, please let your instructor know. It is important to us that you completely understand and are happy with what you are accomplishing in class.

If after the first session of the group class you are completely dissatisfied and do not wish to return to the group class setting, please notify your Instructor before you leave. Your class payment will be refunded and your enrollment cancelled. If you do not tell your instructor after the first session of your dissatisfaction, your will still be responsible for the class and no refund will be given.
