Topics discussed

 The Varsity Team will be playing Alcovy this Friday, 09-13-13 at 7:30 p.m. We will be on the home side. It will also be early release day. Players may go home, but they will need to be back at the school at 3:30 p.m. They will need to meet in the cafeteria. Food will still be provided for the varsity players before the game, so it is important that they arrive back at the school on time.

 Steve Johnston will be tailgating at the Alcovy game this Friday. Anyone who will like to join him can come out early. He will have the grill hot and ready around 5:45 to 6:00 p.m. Bring your meat to go on the grill and get ready for a good game.

 The JV/Freshman team will be playing Apalachee at home at 5:30 p.m. this Thursday, 09-12-13. Please come out and support our JV/Freshman team.

 Touch Down Club passes are available for pickup. We only have 46 paid members. We normally have at least 75 paid members. It’s not too late to join. If you still want to join for the parking, discounts, TDC shirt, etc., please see Coach Hurst or Elecia Roton, our Treasurer.  EHS golf tournament has been postponed. We are looking to get it rescheduled for March or another day in the Spring 2014. It will be held on a Saturday so we have time to get more sponsors and teams signed up.

 There are 15 signs ready to go up on our advertising board. We still need more companies to purchase ads. The ad is $125.00 for the first year then $100.00 each year after for renewal. Each player will still receive $50 toward their dues for each sign they sell.

Below is a list of some of the business that is already taken so we don’t double back them:

 Tractor Supply-donated a heating tub, Social Circle Ace

 Sherwin Williams, Freemans, Elite, Cleary’s Pest Control

 The Chinese restaurant on 278 by the old Exxon, Kids are great daycare,

 Covington Ford, Kids are great daycare, Mystic Grill, Colony Reality

 Scoops, Just Dogs, Bullritos, Blimpies, Shane’s

 If anyone would like to volunteer to help get the signs up, please contact Steve Johnston at [email protected]. Steve wants to get the signs up this weekend if possible. We also need two more people for the chain gang. Please contact Steve if you want a front row seat and are available to help. Also, no flip flops. Please wear appropriate shoes for your protection.

 The meat sell is still going on. We made about $5,200 thus far. Call Brad the butcher at 770- 356-4009 to order your case of meat. Remember your player gets $40 for the 1st case of meat they sell and $80 for each additional case sold toward their fee. You can continue to buy the cases of meat after your dues are paid in full and have the money go toward your dues for next year. Just talk to Coach Hurst ahead of time and let him know.

 Trailer-Mr. Harry Galloway needs volunteers to rotate with him to tow the trailer for Coach Hurst. We will be carrying the trailer to every game. Please contact Mr. Harry Galloway at [email protected] if you are available to help.

 Spirit Wear-All shirts are in. You can pick up your shirt on Friday at 5:30 p.m. under the tent. We also have shirts from last year sizes small and medium that will be on sell for $8 under the tent. Volunteers will be needed to cover 1-2 quarters at a time. Contact Robin Hill at [email protected] to get signed up. You can also order more spirit wear at www.eastsidefb.cluboutfitterstore.com  Coaches Dinner-Mrs. Debbie Mash needs more volunteers to help feed the coaches on Sunday. They get together on Sunday’s to go over the previous games, plays, watch film, etc. She has the first 2 Sundays filled. Please contact her at 678-849-9248 or email her at [email protected].

 Fees- We have less than 10 kids that owe fees. Please be sure to get them in by this week. Coach Hurst will be given out the draw string bags with the diamond logo on it this week. All fees must be paid in order for your player to receive their gear.

 A special thanks to the Eagle Moms for providing the players with their snack bags and pre-game meals. Coach Hurst wants the candy bags given out after the games. Prior to the games they can have bananas, apples, oranges, granola bars, slim jims, crackers, fruit snacks or cups, etc. We appreciate all the hard work and effort of each and every one of you eagle parents.
