WORK DESCRIPTION: QUTATION TO DO MAINTENANCE ON 1 (ONE) BREAKER AND PANNEL

1. SERVICING OF VACUUM BREAKERS

The following service will be carried out:  Clean damper cylinder.  Adjust settings on damper.  Check tension on latching springs.  Lubricate all moving parts on basic and spring charge mech.  Test breaker mechanically and electrically for opening and closing.  Test circuit breaker for vacuum loss.  Check wear limit on interrupters.  Test mechanical interlock on breakers.  Clean L.V. contacts.

2. SPEED TRACE ON VACUUM BREAKER:  Closing speed.  Tripping speed.

3. SERVICING OF OIL BREAKERS.

The following service will be carried out:  Drop oil tank.  Inspect contacts fixed and moving.  Lubricate mechanism.  Tap out oil sample for testing.  Adjust setting on mech. If necessary.  Replace tank gasket.  Test oil breaker electrically and mechanically for tripping and closing.  Inspect tank liner.  Inspect contact travel.  Inspect spindle worm.  Test mechanical interlocks.  Lubricate racking assembly.  Inspect buffer rubbers.  Pressure test breaker AC KV. Please note: Additional cost will apply if oil or fixed and moving contact need to be replaced.

4. SECONDARY INJECTION TEST ON PROTECTION RELAYS:

 Test pickup current of relay.  Test over current and earth fault setting of relay according to curve and time specifications.

Companies will be evaluated on functionality base on the following:  Lesedi based company. 40  The company must have his own laboratory. 20  Infrastructure to do the work on site. 20  Must be able to management the work to be done. 20

Any company who scores less than 65% in respect of “Functionality” will be regarded as submitting a Non responsive bid and will be disqualified.

NB: Bidders who are not registered on the Lesedi Local Municipality’s database for the year 2012 should make sure that they fill in the application form and submit it as part of their bids.
