Public Safety Information Technology Technician (PSIT) Level I Minimum/General Experience: One (1) year of technical experience providing phone and in- person support to users in the areas of e-mail, directories, standard Windows desktop applications, and applications developed under contract. Requires competence in serving as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting hardware/software PC and printer problems. Demonstrates ability to work independently or under general direction. Minimum Education: High School Diploma. Functional Responsibility: PSITs may serve on a team of Help Desk Technicians specifically engaged to address the needs of Public Safety Officers. Systems Administrator Level I Minimum/General Experience: The System Administrator position requires two (2) years of experience. Administrator needs experience in troubleshooting, administering and supporting operating systems, servers and applications and multi-server networks. Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Computer Programming or a related field. Network Engineer Level I Minimum/General Experience: At least two (2) years experience in the maintenance of local and wide area networks - Windows and UNIX. Troubleshoot access and communication issues in a variety of environments. Experience with all aspects of networking including protocols, bridges, frame relay and routers. Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar technical degree or certification. Functional Responsibility: Performs installations and troubleshooting. Provides Level 1 technical support in resolving network and processor problems. Manage the documentation and administrate needs of a large WAN infrastructure. Manage IP address block allocation and documentation. Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

Telecommunications Administrator Level I Minimum/General Experience: The Telecommunications Administrator position requires two (2) years of experience. Administrator needs experience in troubleshooting, administering and supporting circuit and switched networks. Minimum Education: High School Diploma, or 2 years of minimum experience in equivalent position. Functional Responsibility: Assists in establishing communications systems by programming voice and data telecommunications network circuits and equipment. Assists in planning network installations by studying technical specifications; preparing an installation schematic. Service Delivery Coordinator Level I Minimum/General Experience: The Service Delivery Coordinator (SDC) position requires two (2) years of experience in working with and coordinating engineers, as well as working in a telephone customer service position. Minimum Education: High School Diploma Functional Responsibility: Primary tasks will consist of assisting Senior SDC and assignment of day to day tickets to engineers, reviewing service levels, scheduling staff and identifying training needs. Ensure all contracted support is accomplished in a timely manner. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. One of the focal points for engineers in matters of scheduling, coordination, availability, and identifying support issues. Advises supervisors/managers on work/engineer issues.
