Essex County Council SENCO Manual 2011
Essex County Council
Welcome to the Essex SENCO Manual, which was compiled by a working group of Essex SENCOs and Local Authority representatives, following publication of the revised SEN Code of Practice in 2001, to assist you with your key contribution to the education of children with special educational needs in Essex schools.
The manual should be used in conjunction with the revised SEN Code of Practice (DfES/581/2001) and the SEN Toolkit (DfES/558/2001). It is intended to provide guidance for you, often acting as a signpost to other publications or sources of information and is reviewed and updated annually.
The contents of this manual can only be downloaded from the SEN Paperwork page of the Essex Schools’ Infolink site and any revisions or additions to sections will be posted there as they become available.
