Cauliflower Festival 2009 Sponsored by The Central Catskills Chamber of Commerce PO Box 605 Margaretville, New York 12455

Dear Local Food and Farm Vendor: The Central Catskills Chamber of Commerce invites you to join in the 7th Annual Cauliflower Festival on Saturday, September 26th, 2009 from 10 until 4pm. The Cauliflower Festival began 7-years ago and our free admission policy and programs coupled with expanded marketing efforts promises that attendance increases each year. Held in Margaretville’s Village Park (behind the food store on Bridge Street), the Festival will continue to grow and attract visitors eager to purchase what you have to offer. This year we are moving the Pure Catskills tent to the entrance of the Festival. We want to encourage shoppers to stop by your table as soon as they arrive and again on their way out. Pure Catskills member farmers and their FRESH and LOCALLY grown products remains a major feature at this event. Of course we will have lots and lots of Cauliflower for sale too. A new feature will be the Catskill Forestry Tent and special demonstrations of logging, chain saw art, wood products and much more sponsored by the Catskill Forestry Association. The cost for a 10’x10’ space is $40 (reduced from 2008) and is non-refundable. The event is held rain or shine. There is limited space under the Pure Catskills tent so please sign up early. As an extra benefit for you we will provide 8 ft. rectangular table(s) and two chairs for your use. You must remove your own trash at the end of the day. Potable cold water is available at the Pavilion. Set-up time starts at 7am. If you are selling food to be eaten immediately, THE NYS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH REQUIRES EVERY FOOD VENDOR TO HAVE A HEALTH PERMIT FOR THIS EVENT. IT MUST BE POSTED AT YOUR LOCATION. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE AND NEED TO CALL 607-432-3911 TO SECURE YOUR PERMIT. (Included with this form.) This old-fashioned country fair held at the peak of the glorious fall season features activities to keep visitors of all ages entertained with reasons to spend the entire day to enjoy all of the events. With a focus on food, history and agriculture, the Festival features children’s activities, history displays, local agricultural displays, regional artists and craftspeople, and live entertainment throughout the day. Timely sign-up includes free listing of your business in the Festival program that is given out to all visitors during the day.
