Closing Date for applications: Thursday 30 July Be part of Team Rescue and come and work for a small dynamic team of fundraisers dedicated to rescuing animals from cruelty and suffering around the world. International Animal Rescue (IAR) is a medium-sized charity (income c£2m pa) based in Uckfield, East Sussex, committed to animal welfare and conservation. At IAR we do exactly what our name says: we save animals from suffering around the world. We cut free dancing bears in India, rescue orangutans in Indonesia and treat stray dogs and cats around the world - and so much more. Whenever we can, we release rescued animals back into the wild; and when that's not possible, we give them a safe haven for life.

IAR is vibrant in the market place creating exciting appeals for existing supporters as well as a recruitment tool for prospective supporters. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is inspired and motivated by the work of IAR, who will significantly develop the Charity’s digital and web-based activities and increase its income, taking this vitally important work to the next level. If this is you, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for someone who can assist the small but growing digital fundraising team. This is a junior role and may suit somebody with a website administration/support or digital marketing background who is passionate about animal welfare and conservation. Job Description – Roles and Responsibilities  Keeping IAR’s website content fresh and up-to-date via CMS and assisting with the day to day running of the website  Co-ordinating the animal adoption programme and ensuring adoptive parents are aware of the latest updates on their animal  Assisting with scoping and testing future website development.  Supporting the email marketing plan and using Mailchimp to send newsletters with project updates, appeals and thanking our supporters.  Creating new products on the website such as virtual gifts.  Ensuring that our online supporters get the best possible experience when donating to International Animal Rescue  Creating regular analytical reports where necessary to illustrate the performance of web and digital activity  Providing day to day support to the digital marketing and fundraising team Experience  Experience of using content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, image-editing software and MS Office.  Experience of digital marketing  Some knowledge and experience of HTML  An understanding of modern on-site search engine optimisation techniques  Experience of email marketing campaigns and use of Mailchimp or other similar E- CRM programmes  A working knowledge of Google Analytics  A good understanding of e-commerce  Experience of developing and nurturing supporters and/or customers Abilities & Competencies
