TULSA’S PATRIOT BANK EARNS NATIONAL DISTINCTION THREE YEARS IN A ROW

Tulsa, Oklahoma – August 3, 2016 – Patriot Bank has been named one of America’s Top 200 Healthiest Banks according to DepositAccounts.com, earning the first highest ranking of all FDIC insured banks in Oklahoma and Tulsa. This is the third consecutive year that Patriot Bank has achieved this honor, and the second year to rank first healthiest in Tulsa.

When a newly formed investor group took over the troubled bank in October of 2009, then known as First BankCentre, it was unprofitable and had severe loan problems. Since then, CEO Mike Bezanson and his team have grown the bank’s total assets more than 520% and increased its capital over 565%. In addition, deposits have boosted 513% and loans are up 788%. A dedicated Board of Directors and a strong management team have provided the leadership necessary to achieve this level of success, including President Jay Morey, Chief Lending Officer Philip Houchin and Chief Financial Officer Randy Wimmer.

Each year DepositAccounts.com evaluates the financial health of every federally insured bank in the United Sates – more than 6,100 total. Each institution is graded on a number of factors, including capitalization, deposit growth, and loan to reserve ratios, in order to determine a comprehensive health score.
