New Hampshire Soccer Association Board Meeting Minutes 10-06-10

Attendees: Bill Thornton, Bob Willey, John Ferreira, candia campbell, Tom Haydock, Doug Thomas, Dan Roberge, Ric Marion, Mark Ruest, Jeff Cousineau, Mark Sadler, Bonnie Watson, Brian Goddu, Sharon Bruno, and Angela Nieland.

Meeting called to order at 6:42PM

Secretary Report: Minutes of September meeting attached.

Tom Haydock made motion to accept minutes and Bob Willey seconded - minutes accepted.

Treasurers Report: Written report attached.

President’s Report: No written report attached.

President’s Report Meeting regarding Region 1 league will be for the girl’s only. A proposal will be given to the presidents of Region 1 to vote on. Issues that are coming up are budget. Still in the process of negotiations with Adidas.

Executive VP: Written report attached.

Breakers partnership will be $1,300, Revolution partnership $3,400. Carla Nastri made motion to continue with the partnership Tom Haydock seconded - motion approved.

Recreation VP: Written report attached.

Planning for Kohl’s America Cup is going well. Kathy Goulet is assisting Tom. All fields are in Manchester. Dates are October 23, and 24. The finals are to be held October 30.

Competitive VP: Written report attached.

Adult VP: No written report attached

State Coach of Education: Written report attached.

State Coach of ODP: Written report attached.

Bill Thornton will respond back to Jeff Cousineau on Thursday with approval of the ODP staff coaching contract. In Executive Session, coaching staff will be voted on.

Ric will be looking to purchase NHSA Banner as well as an American Flag and State Flag.

Granite State Women’s Fees are still outstanding.

Old Business

Al Rule scholarship – Bill is working on a resolution

NEP League is not a sanctioned league by New Hampshire Soccer Association.

New Business Awards Banquet is to take place on Friday, November 19 at 7:00PM. All the nominations have been submitted and will be voted on in executive session. Please make sure the lifetime members receive invitations as well as all league and club presidents

Good of the Game US women are playing tonight against China. US men are playing on Saturday and Tuesday. Breakers made it to the semi finals.

Next Board Meeting: Wednesday, November 3, 2010.
