Dear Parents and Guardians s4

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Robertsville Elementary’s Parent-Teacher Organization would like to welcome you to the 2013/2014 school year. We have many wonderful things planned for our students this year and wanted to tell you about them and let you know how you can help.

In case you didn’t know, in the recent past, Robertsville’s PTO has:

Contributed to the community running track (2010), Purchased 10 special-events tables (2011), Organized and paid for the Earth Day Movie Event (2011-13), Purchased the Recess cart (2013), AND Gifted every Robertsville student with a book from the book fair as well as donating books to Robertsville Elementary Library (2013).

The PTO also: Contributes to teachers’ yearly wishlists, Contributes and distributes the purple folders that your child brings home in their backpack every Thursday, Contributes to Kindergarten and 5th grade graduation celebrations, AND Buys and donates the popcorn for popcorn days, the beverages for classroom parties, and D.A.R.E. t-shirts for students.

This year, the PTO already has funds ear-marked for a school presentation and the purchase of more special-events tables (our goal is to have 20 tables in our inventory). In addition to these items, the Robertsville PTO plans to continue contributing books to students and the library, as well as donating the popcorn, beverages, and D.A.R.E t- shirts to students. The PTO also donates drinks to classroom parties and manages the deposits and reimbursements of party funds. Please look for a breakdown of your classroom’s Party Balance in your student’s Thursday Folder.

Ways that you can help? • Connect with us on Facebook at Robertsville Elementary PTO to share concerns, ideas, or all out enthusiasm!

• Keep these contributions in the back of your head and when your student participates in PTO fundraising, let them know what they are helping to achieve for our school.

• COME TO MEETINGS or donate your time at events. Students thrive on parent involvement, and we look forward to seeing you around!

• If you have any ideas, questions, or donations; please contact the school office at 636-271-1448
