Sanibel Captiva Art League MARCH MEMBERS JURIED SHOW Wednesday, March 1, 2016 - April 3, 2017 Sanibel Public Library One or two entries to be juried for exhibit RECEIVING: Wednesday, March 1, 2016 9:00-12:00, Sanibel Public Library MEDIA: Two dimensional paintings in all media, drawings, collage, woodcuts will be accepted. (Note: no sculpture, no photography, no computer art, no crafts, no laser, giclee or iris prints.) ORIGINALITY: All art work must be original. No copies, no giclees in whole or in part. No work done in a workshop. No artwork in which a major feature (s) of the work is an image produced or achieved by mechanical means, without dominant creative work by artist, unless such work is otherwise allowed in this prospectus. Violation of this provision may result in disqualification or forfeit of award and prize. EXHIBITION: Open to San-Cap Art League members with a current membership card. Work must be original, thoroughly dry, suitably framed & ready to hang (wire 3” below top of frame when hung and tape on the ends) Art having won 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Best of Show, or Judge’s Choice in Art Council of SW Florida shows are not eligible. SCAL reserves the right to exclude subject matter deemed inappropriate or impractical. Work must have been completed within last three years. Classroom or workshop material not accepted. MAXIMUM SIZE: 112 inches total outside framed dimensions. (example: 24”x32”, 22” X 34”, 20”x 36”etc.) Plexiglass preferred. FEES: $25 for two works AWARDS: 1st - $250, 2nd -$175, 3rd - $125, Honorable Mention (4) - $75 SALES: A 10% donation to the Sanibel Library is suggested for all sales. Sales will be handled by each individual artist if a buyer telephones. (Art may be marked NFS.)
