MASTER TECHNICIANS TAEKWONDO CENTER SPARRING RULES

1. Sparring time is 2 minutes and 5 points to win the match.

2. 1 point awarded for all hands and 1 point for kicks to the body.

3. 2 points awarded for kicks to the head gear not face.

4. Contact must be light to the head gear. Excessive power will cause point deduction of points.

5. Face contact is not allowed. 1st time if accidental is a warning. 2nd time one point awarded to opponent. 3rd time Disqualified. 6. Excessive contact 1st time point awarded to opponent. 2nd time loss of point and point awarded to opponent. 3rd time Disqualified. 7. Blood is automatic Disqualified.

8. Techniques to head need NOT to hit to be call a point, but must be close enough to be able to hit.

9. Black Belts must make light contact to headgear to be awarded points for techniques.

10. No sweeping of front or rear leg.

11. Face shield are NOT mandatory but are highly suggested.

12. Hitting the face shield is the same as hitting the face and will be scored as such.

13. Chest Protector is NOT mandatory but highly suggested.

14. Score area is: Total Head Gear; Chest and Stomach; Side of Body;

15. Groin Kicks 1st time warning; 2nd time point awarded to opponent; 3rd time Disqualified.

16. Running out the ring; 1st time warning; 2nd time loss of point; 3rd time loss of point;

17. In the event of a tie and time have laps, Sudden Death 2 min. will be used until a change of score.

18. If No change of score the fight will be given to the Superior fighter by show of Flags

19. Unsportsmanlike conduct will be determined by Center Referee and Competitor will be disqualified.
