CONSIGNMENT ACCEPTANCE:
DÉCOR ITEMS: We accept Small “in season” items (smaller than an end table): Monday – Saturday 12pm-5pm (NOT ON SUNDAYS). No appointment necessary. All items brought in for consignment will be processed by the Upscale Resale staff while you shop. It is our desire to ONLY accept the best merchandise to assure salability. Any items deemed to be “NO THANK YOU’S” will be handed back to you before you leave or donated to a local charity. (No thank you items consist of: out of style, out of season, faded, torn, broken, dirty, pet hair, odor, etc.). DROP & GO service is available during regular store hours. If you prefer to drop off your items, we will go through them later and donate any items that we do not accept. This is intended to be for a few small items that you were unsure whether or not we would accept. We are not a donation drop site. We are limited on storage space, so we cannot accept large amounts for the purpose of donation. SEASONAL ITEMS: are accepted as follows: Spring February 1st (includes Easter) Summer April 1st (included Memorial Day and 4th of July) Fall August 15th (includes Halloween and Thanksgiving) Winter October 15th (includes Christmas) LARGE FURNITURE: These items are accepted BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. WE NEED TO SEE PHOTOS FIRST! This will help us determine proper placement and pricing beforehand. Please email photos to [email protected] with any pertinent information about the items and include your name and phone number. We will either call or email you to discuss this further. NOTE: On occasion we accept items that are in need of minor repair/refinishing/painting, etc. We only do repairs on items that we think we can recoup labor charges on. Labor charges are assessed @ $20/hr. and will be deducted from the sales price prior to the 50/50 commission split. BETTER CONDITION = BETTER SALES PRICE!
COMMISSION & EXPIRATION: CONSIGNOR COMMISSION IS 50% OF THE SALES PRICE: Our contract with you is for six (6) months. Items on consignment must remain in the store for a minimum of five (5) months. We will allow you to retrieve your unsold items during the last 30 days of our contract period, but no sooner. We have a 24 hr. return policy on furniture and décor and a 7 day return on hard-wired lighting. This time frame is extended for large items requiring pick-up or delivery. Therefore, we cannot payout until 24 hours AFTER sold items have left our premises. You may pick up a commission check any time you have a balance of $25 or more. You may call us to request that we mail your check for a .50 cent postage & handling fee. You can use your credit toward items purchased in the store anytime. SEASONAL/HOLIDAY EXPIRATION: HOLIDAY items expire immediately after the holiday and will be put on clearance for two weeks, then donated, if not reclaimed by you during that two (2) weeks. SEASONAL items will expire two weeks after we start taking the next seasons’ items (refer to acceptance dates listed above). WE DO NOT CONTACT YOU BEFORE YOUR ITEMS EXPIRE. It is your responsibility to track your expiration dates. We make this easy for you by giving you a card with pick-up and expiration dates every time you bring us merchandise AND allowing you online access to your account 24/7. If you decide
1 of 2 to retrieve your unsold items, we will be happy to print a list of your items for you to work from as you gather them. We can try to point you in the right direction, but no one knows your merchandise better than you. Any items remaining after 6 months will become the property of Upscale Resale and will be sold or donated at our discretion. Upscale Resale reserves the right to discontinue displaying items at any time if we feel that the item is no longer sought after, unprofitable, or out of style. Items that are found to have flaws or defects after acceptance may be returned, discounted, or donated at the discretion of the Upscale Resale staff.
DISCOUNTING & ADVERTISING: Items will be discounted 10% every 30 days. Your items may be subject to periodic sales, coupons and/or discounts. Any coupons or discounts will also be split 50/50. EXAMPLE: we frequently offer coupons for $5 off $25 or more total purchase. This only applies to full price items. So, if your item has been here for 3 months, it is now 30% off. Buyers cannot add a coupon to that discount. WE DO NOT ALLOW DOUBLE DISCOUNTS! WE DO NOT BARTER! At Upscale Resale Home we have our consignors’ best interest at heart and work hard at displaying items so that we BOTH make the most profit possible. We do use many forms of advertising. We frequently use social media, Craigslist and ads with coupons in Flash Flyer. These coupons can also be obtained through FlashFlyer.Com. Upscale Resale Home has the sole right to feature merchandise in these various forms of advertising.
ONLINE ACCESS TO VIEW YOUR ACCOUNT: You can view your inventory/sales online via our website! All items are itemized for you and you will be able to see when your items sell and for how much. This allows you access 24/7 so you can decide when to pick up a check. It also helps you keep track of your expiration dates. NOTE: You will usually be able to view your account within 48 hours. PLEASE BE SURE TO LET US KNOW ASAP IF THERE IS AN ITEM THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU ON YOUR ACCOUNT! The sooner we know, the easier it is to find the correct consignor. Clerical errors can sometimes happen. HOW TO ACCESS: Go to www.UpscaleResaleHome.com, Click on “CONSIGNMENT INFO” page, now click on “WEB ACCESS LINK”. You will be redirected to a new page: RJFSOFT: Consignor Data Viewer, Type your CONSIGNOR ID ______& PASSWORD______NOTICE: You can view settled (paid) or unsettled sales, filter by dates (Just click on start date to view older info.) NEW FEATURE: You can make a list of the items that you are bringing in for consignment and email it to us. This will make the check-in process faster and more efficient. All of this is explained further on our website.
AUTHORIZATION: I hereby authorize Upscale Resale Home to display, price and sell my items at a fair market value. I hereby agree that Upscale Resale Home is not responsible for loss due to fire, theft, breakage, etc. I also certify that I do legally own and have the right to sell all items brought in by me or on my behalf. I have read and understand the terms of this contract.
