Classis Hudson & Hackensack Church Plants: This week, we pray for City Grace Church in New York and Pastor Ben Spalink. Also pray for Love Korean Church in Clifton, New Jersey, and Pastor Chung. The Brauning Bytes: During our home service here in the United States, we kind of have to disconnect with the mission field in order to dedicate time and energy to sharing the vision and updates from the Dominican Republic. But we are thankful for the way that the ministry continues in our absence. Please pray for us as we continue in the US, for our fund-raising efforts and for our anticipated return to the Dominican Republic in January. Free Webinar: Join us at 12:00 PM EST on Wednesday, November 13 for a free, one- hour webinar “Navigating the Challenges of Church Renewal” presented by Jack Tacoma. The journey of renewal is like the ancient journey of the Hebrews, there are river crossings and rebellions, celebrations and ceremonies, mountains and wilderness. What does this all look like at the congregational level, and what should leaders, including pastors, expect? Register today at www.crcna.org/webinars. Advent Devotions: Sign up for daily devotions during Advent! Starting December 2, World Renew and the CRC Office of Social Justice will share a devotional series for Advent 2013 called “Strangers in the Land”. These daily email meditations bring you stories of strangers and those who welcome strangers—and the narrative of God’s care for the stranger to orient your Christmas season. To sign up, go to http://www.crcna.org/pages/osj_adventdevotions.cfm. Note—if you’ve received our devotions in the past, you are already subscribed. Enjoy!
