To: [Non-Profit] Attention: ______Congratulations! You have been nominated by one of our members to be considered for one of our Community Grants.

Impact 100 Redwood Circle, a Sonoma County women’s giving circle, empowers and enables local women to serve as philanthropic leaders by collectively funding significant grants that will make a lasting impact in our community.

The organization, founded in 2015, is now comprised of over 100 women, each of whom makes an annual donation of $1000. The goal is to assess critical community needs by reviewing grant requests from non-profits, and then awarding one “Impact Grant” of $100,000 each year, as well as making additional smaller Community Grants as funding allows. Impact 100 Redwood Circle awarded its first $100,000 Impact Grant in May of 2016 to VOICES, an innovative nonprofit that provides youth with the resources they need to make the leap from foster care to successful, independent adulthood.

We are fortunate to have additional funds available this year and are now planning on making 5 grants of $5,000 each to fund other non-profit needs in the community. Funds may be used for capacity- building, capital purchases, special programs/projects, sponsorships, or general operating expenses. Following are the eligibility criteria:

1. Non-profit must be 501(c)(3) based in the geographical area of Sonoma County, excluding Sonoma Valley, which has its own Impact 100 organization. 2. Non-profit must have been in existence for a minimum of two years and be in sound financial condition. 3. Organization must meet announced deadlines for submission in order to be considered. If you wish to apply, please complete the attached application, plus a 1-2 page description of how you will utilize the $5,000, and a project budget. Be sure and cover: 1. What needs are you addressing and how will this grant assist you? 2. If a project/program, what are the goals and objectives and who will the project/program benefit? How will the program be sustained, if applicable? 3. How many people will be impacted by use of these funds? 4. How will you measure the outcomes? (Impact 100 will request a short report by the end of 2017.) 5. If you receive this grant, how will you recognize Impact 100 Redwood Circle? Please email your request to [email protected] by October 7, 2016. The awardees will be announced in December. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us. Sincerely, Impact 100 Redwood Circle Community Grant Committee impact100redwoodcircle.org
