Overview: You will work in pairs (and a limited number of groups of 3) to research and present 2 landmark Supreme Court cases to the class based on the guidelines outlined on this page. Cases will be chosen and assigned at random.

Content for each case:  Background of what the dispute is about/the issue at hand  How is this issue related to the Constitution?  What was the outcome of the case (what precedent was established?)  What was the significance of the case on our civil liberties and rights

Presentation:  You can choose the method of your presentation but regardless of what kind of end product you choose, it does need to be presented to teach your classmates about the cases  You can make a: o PowerPoint o Poster o Video (using images, songs and movie maker) o An activity for the class to do (debate, discussion, etc) o Song/poem/rap o Another option of your choosing if you discuss it with me first

Grading:  You will be graded on: o Content – did you incorporate all of the required information mentioned above o Creativity/Aesthetics – you will be assessed on how visually appealing and/or how creative your product and presentation are o Presentation quality – you will be assessed on the delivery of the presentation (should be familiar with the case enough to make frequent eye contact with the audience – not just read from your materials, speak at an audible volume, etc.)
