Discussions: You will be expected to complete 4 discussions throughout the course. Each student will be assigned to a group, and you will have this group all semester. The discussion questions can be found from the content page. Post your discussion on the discussion page under your group number. Discussions will be available for two weeks. During week one you will post a response to the initial question. You will need to fully answer and explore the question. During the second week you will post a response to a fellow group member. The post must be reflective in nature; a response of “I agree” or similar will warrant no credit. I expect responses to be written in a professional manner and for individuals to be treated with respect. Quizzes: There will be a total of 11 quizzes completed throughout the semester. Each quiz will be worth 10 points and can include information from the unit lesson or the text book. They are timed quizzes, so I would suggest that you prepare for it in the same manner as you would a regular quiz. You will not have time to look up every answer, you will have 10 minutes to complete each quiz. Quizzes are available for one week, during the unit being covered. There are no makeup quizzes available.

Assignments: There will be a variety of assignments. Assignments will be open and available to complete during the one week unit time (Sunday-Saturday). Assignments expectations sheets can be found under the content page and are organized with the corresponding unit, they can also be found under the drop box.

Final Exam: The final exam will be held during the last week of classes – not finals week. It will be open for one week. The final exam will cover material from the course, including all unit lessons. I would suggest you take adequate notes during the course to use for the final, and prepare as you would for a typical final as it’s timed.

MAKE UP POLICIES: Assignments and Discussions. You will have two days to turn in late assignments, if you complete your late work during that period you will receive a maximum of 50% of the possible points. After the two days you will not receive credit for any work completed. There is no credit for late discussions. Tests. Make up quizzes are not permitted. Quizzes are open one week prior to the due date.
