FORMAT OF THE 2008 PLAY-OFFS The Section VI Football Federation will conduct a three (3) week playoff during the 2008 Football Season. The following guidelines will be followed:  Division Champions will automatically qualify.  A bracket will be created in each of the 5 classifications, including Sectional and Bowl Qualifiers.  Play-Off teams will be composed of those players on the original Varsity roster with room for substitution as necessary.  Awards will be according to Section VI Policy.

AA, A, B and C: The top 4 teams in each Division will qualify for the play-offs: Example: 1 North vs. 4 South 1 South vs. 4 North 2 North vs. 3 South 2 South vs. 3 North * Winners will qualify for the Sectional Play-offs and loser will qualify for the Bowl Tournament * Teams 5-8 in each Division will be matched up by the football committee for weeks 8 and 9 games * The higher seeded teams will be the Home Teams through out weeks 8 and 9

“ D” and “DD”: 1st D vs. 4th DD 2nd D vs. 3rd DD 1st DD vs. 4th D 2nd DD vs. 3rd D ** NOTE: The higher seed will be the home team

Bowl Teams will consist of the 5th – 8th place finishers in each Division and will be matched as follows:

5th D vs. 8th DD 6th D vs. 7th DD 5th DD vs. 8th D 6th DD vs. 7th D *** NOTE: The higher seed will be the home team.

Week # 9 Sectional Semi-Finals: The highest seeds will host the lower seeds. Winners will play for sectional Championship.

Bowl Play-Offs: The Bowl Games will include the week # 8 Bowl winners and the week # 8 Sectional losers. The 4 largest schools will compete for the “D” Bowl Championship. The 4 smallest schools will compete for the “DD” Bowl Championship. The winners will play for their respective Bowl Championship. There will be a “D” and “DD” Bowl Champion.

NOTES: All Schools not qualifying for Post-Season Games (Sectionals or Bowls) will be matched for a 9th game by the Football Committee.
