TECHNICAL NETBALL CLUB RULES (revised 1 February 2012) 1. Subscriptions 1.1. All subscriptions are to be paid before competition begins with a discount allowed if paid by the last registration day. 1.2. If a player is unable to make payment before the due date they may seek dispensation from the committee. 1.3. If subscriptions are not paid by the prescribed date (as determined by the committee) then the player will be stood down from playing, declared non-financial and the Christchurch Netball Centre advised. 1.4. All money is the responsibility of the player until it is receipted by the treasurer 1.5. If there are two or more school age children from a family living at the same address, subscriptions may be reduced by 10% for each player. 1.6. Coaches who also play in a Technical team may receive a 50% discount, subject to any team having a maximum of two coaches. 1.7. Payment of a full subscription entitles the player to be placed in a team and have - a coach, team bag including balls, bibs, cones and first aid kit. These must be returned in good condition, if lost the cost of replacement will be the responsibility of the team in question. 1.8. No refund will be given once a player has committed themselves to a team. However a player may make a written request stating their reasons to the committee for a partial refund. All refunds will be subject to the Christchurch Netball Centre fees and a 10% administration fee being deducted from any reimbursement. 1.9. In the event of unforeseen illness, injury etc., a player may make a request for refund subject to section 1.8.

2. Training 2.1. A minimum of two training sessions per week for teams in Senior Reserve and above and one training a week for all other teams. 2.2. The coach is responsible for finding a substitute coach if they are unable to attend any training or game.

3. Umpiring 3.1. All players must comply with Christchurch Netball Centre umpiring policy. Currently this is:  All players in 2nd & U19 grades and above must complete the NNZ Local Centre Umpire Theory exam  All players in 3rd, 4th and U17 grades are required to complete the Umpires Test exam  All teams from U17 grade and up are responsible for providing two umpires each week 3.2. All team fines from not umpiring are the responsibility of the team and if remains unpaid the whole team will be declared non-financial.

4. Fundraising 4.1. It is compulsory for all players to participate in fundraising activities initiated by Technical Netball Club and the Christchurch Netball Centre.

5. Confidentiality 5.1. All matters discussed within the committee must remain within the committee

6. Conduct of Players 6.1. A player may be suspended from play due to misconduct 6.2. Coaches and players are responsible for reporting, to any committee member, any matter of importance or player misconduct

7. Executive Committee 7.1. If an urgent decision needs to be made and a full meeting is not due or possible, five executive members may make that decision and all must be in agreement to act on the decision 7.2. Committee members must have one year association with the club before holding an executive position

8. Uniform and Gear Code 8.1. Players must purchase the regulation uniform skirt and top. No uniforms will be issued unless paid for. 8.2. Regulation uniform must be worn on court at all times:  Technical branded skirt and top.  Plain white or Technical branded ankle socks (no stripes).  Black/dark knickers.  Black long sleeve thermal is allowed under the top in adverse weather.  Technical issued playing bib, unless an alternative is required due to similarity of playing colours. 8.3. Teams may be issued with other Technical branded clothing or gear in any season. These must be returned in good condition, if lost the cost of replacement will be the responsibility of the player in question. 8.4. Only the Technical Netball Club can issue Technical branded clothing or gear for players. 8.5. Please wear your uniform with pride.
