Principal Report (submitted by Dr Waters) Reno is underway and on schedule Volunteers now need clearances. The district is still working on the details. Two pastors from the Hatfield area would like to adopt Hatfield Elementary and help students who may need financial assistance.

Reading Report

The studio club has finished their first segment. It should be sent out shortly. Barnes and Noble night made $362

Treasurer Report

There was $1054 made from Box Tops There were some changes made to the fall fundraiser and the total is now $2823 Frosty Fest made $833. Much lower than typical as we did not have the sales going on during the school day. Art to Remember made $1200 A few more field trip requests have come in and Dr Waters reported most have been selected, so, more should be coming in shortly. Diane Kortz suggested we might send something out to the school showing what funds were raised and specifically what it is being used for. The idea was well received and the board will look into it.

Fundraising

Lisa Correale could not attend but as stated Art to Remember has made $1200. We need some ideas for a new fall fundraiser as that is the last time we will use Joe Corbi. There will be no dining out in January but there will be one each month after that, including Mom’s water ice on the last day of school. We need a new Frosty chair.

Future Activities K-3 night is being chaired by Karen Rothman and is scheduled for 2/6. It will be at Jumping Jacks and is $2 per student and $8 for siblings. Lip Sinc is 2/20 and it is not too late to sign up to do an act. So far, there are only 5 acts. The event is being help at AM Kulp, along with, all of the rehearsals. Beach Party is being chaired by Diane Minguez. Hawk Walk is being chaired by Teresa Vitelli and Nicole Kasak. 6th Grade Committee is moving along and the activity is booked at PSC 3/28 Box Tops is chaired by Diane Minguez and new contest should be starting soon.

NPAGE-6th grade transition night is being held tonight. ON 3/14 Super Saturday will be held at Penndale. Registration will be coming out early Feb.

Coordinating Council was held in December. They discussed if prizes were a good idea for the fundraisers as not all children get them. We said ours are not given out in front of the children, so, they don’t really see who gets them and who doesn’t. Alicia Hayes will also sign up to do coordinating council.

Yearbook-Mary Nardone.

Other Business

We need to begin a nomination committee for open positions on the board. There are 2 open positions for next year. Recording Secretary and Corresponding Secretary. WE gave a synopsis of our duties. Please consider these positions. Also, we are in need of a hospitality chair. We will begin the process at the February Meeting. We also are in need of a chair for May Fair.

*Playground equipment Update-Steph met with the architect and supervisors of the reno and discussed the equipment the school will be getting. It looks good and we will be able to add on as we desire with approval from the school. There will be 2 basketball nets going in but nothing will be painted on the black top. Steph asked if we can put in soccer nets since the kids really seem to enjoy those but they denied that request.

Next meeting is scheduled for February 10, 2015

Respectfully submitted, Beth D’Ambrosio Recording Secretary
