Identification of the cysteine protease Amb a 11 as a novel major allergen from short ragweed

Table E1. List of IgE-reactive proteins identified from short ragweed pollen. Excised protein spots were analyzed by nanoESI-Qq-TOF MS/MS and proteins were identified by searching Uniprot/Swiss-Prot, NCBInr databases and translated nucleotide sequences from ragweed pollen (homologous sequences were then obtained by running BLAST against the nrNCBI database). The GSAPGSIDTDPNKDF amino acid sequence (Spot # 14) was obtained by Edman degradation. Numbers refer to Fig 1, A. Accession number (Acc.No.). Table E2. Summary of the main Amb a 11 LysC-peptides (in-solution digestion) identified by MALDI-MS. Modified amino acid residues are shown in bold type. The monoisotopic mass of each N-glycan is indicated. aThe zymogen consists of 386 amino acids, including 108 additional N-terminal residues. Miscleavage (MisC.). Measured (Meas.). Calculated (Calc.).
