For example, for this enrollment period in the Fall 2016 term, applications are nominally limited to the Class of 2019. COURSES IN ENERGY STUDIES: In the table below, please list courses dealing with energy that you have completed, are currently enrolled in, or are planning to enroll in this academic year. For example, G&G 274, Fossil Fuels and Energy Transitions, Fall 2015 ECON 330, The Economics of Natural Resources, Spring 2017 Courses do not have to be among those listed on the Energy Studies website. Include any course that you believe is relevant. The future list is not a commitment, only an indication of your interests. Students accepted into the program will normally be required to take APHY 100 in the spring term of sophomore year as a gateway course to Energy Studies.

ESSAY: Describe your interest in Energy Studies. Possible items to mention are your primary area of interest in energy, the goals you hope to achieve with your studies, a possible subject for your final project, and your plans for advanced studies or for a career in an energy-related field. Your essay does not have to touch on all of these topics; its purpose should be to convey your motivation for enrolling in the program. A short, clear statement is ideal. The program welcomes both students whose plans have crystallized and those who are looking to explore new areas. (400 words maximum)

SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION Your application consists of this completed form plus a copy of your Yale College Academic Record. You can complete this application as a Word document, convert it to a PDF, and combine it with a PDF of your Yale College Academic Record into a single document.
