Wednesday, November 18, 2009 Objective: To summarize Alexander’s military conquests. To predict the impact Alexander’s military conquests had on future cultures. Bell Ringer: If Alexander the Great had lived, do you think he would have been as successful in ruling his empire as he was in building it? Think about the skills needed for military leadership, skills needed to govern an empire, and Alexander’s demonstrated abilities. Class Activity:  The Ancient Greek Newspaper  An Illustrated Timeline – Alexander the Great’s Conquests Homework: Read Chapter 5/Section 5 (pages 132-135) and answer questions 1 & 3 on page 135.
