Something NEW is about to happen in our area and we want you to be a part of it!
A few of us got together to see if we could raise enough money to build raised beds on the RHS of the Salvation Army Garden (by the picnic bench). We have raised the funds to give it a go!
This will be a first in Penrith, growing veg to give away. It will only happen with local support.
Please join in and make this a success!
You don’t need any skills -equipment provided & lots of fun and chat to be had. It’s a great way to meet people.
TASKS: -clearing the site (shrubs will be given away for free) -building the raised beds -filling with soil PICK AND -seeding/planting CHOOSE -weeding -watering (especially in the Summer) -lots of drinking coffee, chat and enjoyment!

That the Salvation Army collects food and distributes food parcels. We hope you will volunteer to help us grow veg in the raised beds to add to these.
If you want to know more drop into the Salvation Army Café. It is a great place to have coffee & lunch. With a friendly,warm atmosphere where everyone is made to feel welcome. Anyone can go.
