RADNOR MIDDLE SCHOOL EIGHTH GRADE TRIP TO SANDY HILL Wednesday, September 13, to Friday, September 15, 2017-Pre-TRIP UPDATE

****Medications need to be in a labeled container and in school on Friday, September 8. Please remember to include the following items so that you will be ready for a range of weather conditions:

1. RAINGEAR! (Must be easily accessible—best to pack it in your “carry-on” backpack.) A “rain suit” and waterproof footwear provide the best protection. 2. Durable plastic bag (for “sit-upon”). 3. Gloves or mittens (for evening activities outdoors). 4. Warm jacket

PARENTS . . . . . DON’T FORGET . . . . .

1. TO FOLLOW THE DROP-OFF PROCEDURES FOR WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13.

2. To pack a substantial brown bag lunch and a beverage for your child to eat on Wednesday. (No glass containers, please.) Students are NOT permitted to eat their lunches on the bus. However, light snacks may be included to eat on the bus.

3. To label duffel bags/luggage/sleeping bags and all medications (if needed). 4. Emergency number . . . 1-410-287-5554. PLEASE CALL ONLY IF A REAL EMERGENCY EXISTS.

CAMPERS . . . . DON’T FORGET ......

1. To place visible name tags on your duffel bag, luggage, sleeping bag. 2. To follow the school nurse’s instructions for all medications (see back). 3. To place FRESH BATTERIES in your flashlight. 4. To pack fragile items (camera, glasses, lunch, etc.) in a small bag that you can carry on the bus. 5. To leave at home any electrical appliances, ie Cell phones. To bring sunscreen and a bug spray that repels ticks. 6. To bring seat/warm-up clothes for sleeping—much warmer than pajamas. 7. To bring enough towels. Bathing suits are recommended for showers to speed up the process.
