Content Curator Job Description

Curator Grade 4-12 Mathematics (part-time)

We’re looking for high energy master educators to join a focused, meaningful effort to evaluate, edit, and describe open educational resources, fueling Knewton’s adaptive learning platform. Your work will help to make personalized, adaptive learning a widely accessible technology for people around the globe.

We are seeking individuals with grade 4-10 mathematics teaching experience and expertise in curriculum development. You will use your expertise to: 1) Evaluate educational content for quality along several metrics 2) Deconstruct, then align the content to corresponding assessments 3) Describe this content with appropriate tags to facilitate discoverability by the right students and instructors at the right time

Requirements/Qualifications

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; Master’s degree in education a plus ● Mathematics teaching experience in any two grades (4-10), REQUIRED ● Familiarity with curriculum construction best practices (backward design, problem-based learning, et al) ● Understanding of educational standards and middle school/high school curriculum ● Comfortable with excel and googledocs

Scope of Work  $2,000 compensation for every 2,500 minutes of video (~500 learning experiences) and related text to be analyzed  Deadlines: to be determined based on start date, approximately 4-8 weeks per contract  Remote, part-time position  1 hour training via webex or in-person
