The following assignment counts as 10% of your final grade in English IV. This grade will be averaged with your term3, term 4, and final exam to get your overall grade for English IV. It is also a competency requirement for graduation/ It is imperative that you not only complete this assignment but that you keep your deadlines.

The assignment is as follows:

You will complete a 7 page research paper on a chosen conflict and rescue that has affected the world or that affects the world today. You will be responsible for researching your topic, incorporating facts, quotes from your research, statistics and your own opinions into a well organized piece of writing. I have many resources to help guide you through this process and to help you improve as a writer overall.

You will need to use class time wisely and meet deadlines in order to be successful in this assignment. YOUR FINAL DRAFT MUST MEET THE PAGE DEADLINES AND MUST BE TYPED.

Your final draft will also include a works cited page, a title page, and will need to be in MLA format.
